Glass work. Basically extended the stringers to bolt in the 1100. 1100 bedplate, 6 550 style motor mounts (these team hulls are a bit different from the production units). xir shaft. There is no room to move the motor rearward, as the coupler is basically at the bulkhead. 760 yamaha waterbox fits like it was meant to be there, and the chamber water jacket has to be cut out and welded up where it hits the footwell (see the thread in this section), or you can glass a bubble in the footwell.

I may end up selling the carbon xir hull, you can use a 800 or 1100 motor in it.I really want to focus on the farthing x-4 hull.i have way too much money tied up in ski's right now!

it's a blast to ride probably around 62mph with a 1100 in it,if you watch the video scottie posted under spec runabout racing you will see my zxi barely outran it to the first turn.

I used to have a x4 800 limited. I loved the way it handled but I hated the doo motor. How will a 1100 xir compare?

it will not handle like a x4 hull......with this much power it is a bit of a handful to say the least.

Is it worth the trouble of doing the swap? Are you happy with the end result? I'm super excited about getting this XIR Hull. If I'm gonna get a motor I was thinking I might as well get a 1100 instead of a 750...

Dang, I would love to throw my name in the hat for this hull also.

That Farthing Hull is bad-arse, it has to be superior to Xir just due to research put into that hull. I think the comfort level in the x4 hull at high speed also has to do with how you are positioned behind bars vs pretty much looking over them. And the hull footprint on the water. Xir feels like you are riding a pencil and the X4 more like a bigger pen. If that makes sense.

    Re: Monster Motorsports XIR1100

Makes perfect sense if you have ridden both!..........I think with some handling mods the xir would do fine. it likes to be turned flat and i am used to a lean in hull(hx)......I like the seating position of the zxi better.I started out racing zxi's and so i just like that hull.

Can't wait to finish the farthing hull.our other 1100 x4 is a blast to ride......

Glad I had the opportunity to throw a leg over that thing! New owner will be very happy.
