    sn sj not turning over

i have a 92 sn sj that was running great two days ago. got it home flushed it out everything was fine. went to take her out yesterday and it turns over runs for about 3 seconds then dies. when i go to give it gas it bogs down. i replaced the plugs and found they were pretty nasty. so i put new ones in and it fired up and ran then died and continued to do the same problem. my fuel lines have given me trouble in the past. not having pressure or being lose. any clues to why it would run for a few seconds then die?? thanks!

Check the easy stuff first....sufficient fuel supply? Do you have a selector? Fuel filters plugged? The I would move on to checking if it will stay running with manually providing fuel via primer or other method. If so its time to inspect the carb for thorough cleaning and rebuild

has a full tnak of gas. yes the selector is on "on" and it has a new fuel filter. when i pulled the plugs they had like mud on em.my friend was saying to get some fogging oil and clean it out that way if not im gonna have to pull the carbs and clean em im new to two strokes so im still learning.

and the choke isnt even connected to the fuel line anymore. one problem i have had in the past was the lose fuel lines. where they connect to the selector they are lose. so i know i lose pressure in the lines and thats caused problems before as well, its hard to get a zip tie up there to tighten em down and for it to stay tight

take the ebox off and remove the fuel selector. its a simple job. if you dont go far enough to use reserve often i'd bypass the selector all together. less problems down the road.

How long has it been since you gave the carb a good cleaning?
