How hot does the exhaust pipe get?

I don't remember *exactly* how the starter wiring was routed, as well as the exhaust temp sensor, so I was just curious as to how hot that exhaust pipe gets and if I should be extremely concerned about things not being able to bump into it, touch it, and get burned.

I've got everything in, but want to make sure before I bolt it all down.

The pipe is water cooled, therefore unless something goes wrong the pipe is fairly cool. Think about this..............the temperature warning switch is mounted into the exhaust manifold how??

Did I get that right?? It is in rubber isn't it?? Geesh, now I can't remember.

Either way it's not good to have any wires touching any objects unless securely fastened as not to allow schaffing or cuttung of the wires.

Doesn't the stator wire loom go under the engine plate to the carb side of the engine? Between it and the hull?

I routed the wires for the stator to the wiring loom on the hull and then ran it back to the box where I installed water proof connectors for easy removal/testing next time it's needed.

yes it does,on a single pipe ski,i route it foward of the front mount,then between the two hull mounts,and outside of the right rear hull mount
