Gun Rights, 2nd Amendment In Total Jeopardy. See Video.

There is an all-out war on your Gun Rights! It's extremely important that you see this video and take action. Dianne Feinstein's Bill and the other Liberal Gun Grabbers are doing their very best to completely un-arm all good citizens. Semi-auto rifles, shotguns and magazine fed handguns will be targeted, whether they are used for sport, hunting or home protection. This video is very informational. Please circulate this! Thanks.

(This was posted in another section and I recommended that he post it here, too.)

I don't see this bill ever passing, but it's VERY scary to even think that someone would dare try to draft it.

Just to reiterate again, I'm not going to say what Feinstein is, but it rhymes with "stupid f.cking cvnt."
It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong. I am not a big man.

Oh, it surely can pass. I light of the terrible shooting of the children the liberals will exploit that tragic event to push this through fast. They will paint guns as evil. Instead of the individual. This current leftist government want to control ever aspect of our lives. An unarmed citizen has always been the goal of a big and bad government. As administration is!

Re: Gun Rights, 2nd Amendment In Total Jeopardy. See Video.

THIS IS A POST I PUT ON X-H2O. I WANT TO PASS THIS TO PWCTODAY PEOPLE. I BELIEVE THIS IS VERY SCARY AND CREEPY. A POTENTIAL PIVOT POINT IN OUR HISTORY.

    Please read and consider this.

I sent this to my entire email contact list and hope that you would do the same. This post may be a bit long but I believe it's very important, so please check it out. Thanks.

    Hello,

In light of the recent shootings by the crazy monsters in our society, it has created much discussion about the 2nd Amendment, gun rights & control, gun and magazine bans and potentially violating/attacking your freedom and liberty. I have prepared the below letter and sent it to my Congressman and Senators. I hope you will contact your elected official also (see the below websites to find them per your zip code) and send a similar letter. You can copy and paste my text below if you want (add your name under sincerely) or use it as reference.

Remember, evil will flourish, when good men do nothing. I believe the government is getting out of control. It's size is growing and growing. It is true that a large government creates small citizens. They are succeeding is control every aspect of our life and I fear they can use these tragic shootings and exploit our emotions and control our only and last means of protecting ourselves from the bad man and them.

Please, look over my letter below and truly consider taking a few minutes to send yours, ASAP.

We have to be vocal, no matter what the issue.

Please, pass this on to your contact whether you take action or not.

This needs to circulated and acted upon fast because the Obama Administration is moving fast on this topic. They wanna come up with some sort of decision with a deadline of January 2013.

    Thanks, Steve

    - - - - - - - - - - - - LETTER - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    Hello,
In light of the very sickening and tragic shooting in the Connecticut school, I am writing to you to express my opinion in hopes it will be heard and recognized. Our goal is to do something which will curb or stop the senseless murders. I believe that the blame and actions our government may take will be focused on the wrong culprit. Focusing on the weapon, an inanimate object makes no sense. Man has murdered using numerous means very effectively in the past. Adam Lanza could have easily thrown a few homemade bombs in those classrooms and accomplished the same terrible results. People create the mayhem and destruction, not the items they choose to use. They are the thinking and acting person that follows through with whatever evil that resides in their heart and mind, so it is not the guns!

My concern is with this highly politicized Gun topic and the negative, untruthful, propagandized, Anti-Gun Movement/Media, is that our Gun Rights and the 2nd Amendment will be dismantled one regulation at a time. I fear that my freedom of using my guns to defend myself from evil and my freedom to use any gun for sport and hunting will be violated. I fear my CPL right may be in jeopardy too. Please do not ban any specific weapon (AR15), category, type (semi auto), model, magazine (30 round or other), part or accessory. To vilify one specific gun or magazine makes no sense and takes focus off the real reasons and answers. It also gives potentially dubious power to those who instate that law/decision to vilify and ban the next gun and the next. A very slippery slope.

In my mind the issue and solution is found in the individual person and being personally responsible for his actions. Our morally declining culture, the mental health issue, the medications, our ĎWe donít need Godí mentality, our legal system and prison sentencing, etc., all weigh in on why things like this happen and need to be highly considered for the steps to curb tragic occurrences from happening. I also support having police, guards and/or trained concealed teachers at the schools.

Man is either good or bad. He shows love or hate. He can defend/support life or he can maliciously take it away. The object that the bad man uses to carry out evil should not be on trial or banned, whether itís a pillow, ax, knife, baseball bat, gun or the ingredients to create a homemade bomb. Itís the man. Itís the continual downward spiral in our society that truly needs to be heavily considered.

Please, keep our freedom and liberty, our 2nd Amendment and Gun Rights fully intact. No matter what you ban or make illegal, will only affect the good, peaceable, law abiding man. The evil doer or criminal will always find the means to carry out his evil plans.

    Sincerely,

This is the fastest and easiest way to send your comment. Goes to Obama and congress and senate per your zip code you provide.

Re: Gun Rights, 2nd Amendment In Total Jeopardy. See Video.

Let me start of by saying that I am not a gun owner and never intend to be; just not my thing and I really don't understand so many people's obsession with gun ownership. However I do support the 2nd amendment and see no reason, with a few slight exceptions, why stricter gun control laws need to be enacted. With that said. the video posted by a member was one of the first sane pro-gun ownership statements/videos that I have seen. It was inclusive rather than divisive in its positions. It had non of the crazed NRA Ted Nugent type rants that at best make gun owners seem silly, and at worst, confirm most anti gun citizens the impression that firearm advocates are a bunch of crazed neo Nazi hillbillies who's only goal in life is to drink as many six packs as possible and blow up the countryside. For this, I place the blame totally on the NRA; they have made themselves irrelevant in the national dialogue on gun ownership. Tend Nugent, while a great rocker, is an ***. While I may agree with some of his positions, he is only singing to the choir. As the most recognizable face of the NRA, he is a blessing to those that want to limit guns with the ultimate goal of confiscation. Any person that has ambivalence about gun ownership any needs to see one video by Nugent to confirm his convictions that gun owners are nuts. As for the NRA.

The NRA itself has made itself irrelevant in the national dialogue. They contribute nothing except rants and idiotic schemes of placing guns in the hands of teachers to prevent violence. Guns in the hands of teachers and minimum wage security guards and soccer moms; this is their solution? What the NRA SHOULD have been doing is being proactive in containing and lowering the rate of gun violence in the United States. It SHOULD have been forcing our government to enforce existing gun laws; it should have been emphasizing, condemning, bringing to national attention our revolving door of justice where criminals are being let out of prison with only a slap on the wrist... Where was the NRA when a 16 yr old punk in the school I work in is picked up on the street with a loaded Glock, and is back in school the next week. Where is the NRA when someone is arrested 20, 30, 40 times and is still on the streets?

Gun confiscation is a result of fear. If the NRA wants to be a political force instead of just a 2 minute sound bite on national TV, it should concentrate on being a part of the national dialogue, and not be viewed as an impediment to national safety.

Hudson, take 30 minutes and actually watch this entire video with an open mind.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lgu9f-qd_Uo

Also, don't let Ted's colorful, passionate, rock-n-roll personality cloud your mind of the utter truth, fact and common sense of his words.

I personally try to be calm, cool and tactful. Others have different approaches per their own personality. Try to focus on words and meaning, don't be sucked into emotion.

Most gun owners are hard working, God & family loving, good citizen that want the government to stay out of our every affair and let us keep our unconstitutional rights; all of them. But because of the ever growing government and it's leaps to BIG control (i.e., Obamacare, etc.), now they are exploiting the tragic event in Connecticut to systematically remove our 2nd Amendment rights and gain even greater control of our only means of protection from the evil man and THEM. It's obvious to me and very scary. Name calling and placing responsibility on others than our own government is not productive or right, IMO.

I don't think most realize how important and vulnerable our Gun Rights/Freedom/2nd Amendment really is.

Re: Gun Rights, 2nd Amendment In Total Jeopardy. See Video.

I'm not sure why you said I should view the video with "an open mind." Truth be told, except for their silly notion of placing armed security in schools, I agree with most of what the NRA says; I also agree most of what Ted Nugent says. However, truth, facts, and logic have little to do with political debates and policy; indeed most laws are enacted not because of a desire to benefit society, but rather as a means to obtain political power and reelection.

The power and political centers of the US are NYC, Washington DC, Chicago, and certain parts of California. The NRA in order to enthrall their supporters into jubilance, always set themselves in an adversary position with these power bases. They are in the position of having a majority of the population see them (the NRA) as part of the problem and NOT the solution. Unless the NRA changes its image back to its roots, while their supporters will feel better about themselves, their political clout will diminish quickly with time. Getting rid of Ted Nugent as a front man would do them well. In the case of gun control, it is your typical soccer mom that they should court, and NOT hunting hillbillies; gun ownership should be viewed as a wholesome family activity and part of our legacy, and NOT as a means to protect yourself. And lets be honest, except for his money, does any rational soccer mom want their daughter dating or marrying a Ted Nugent?

Actually, if you watch the video of Piers Morgan and Wayne LaPierre, LaPierre is the one that spoke very calmly and factually. Morgan is the one that wanted to fly off the handle and call him names. I also think that a very small portion of the NRA is the rednecks that you think it is. I believe that the larger portion of its members are in the better-off demographics.
