    high compression head

Hey ballzee what compression are you running... I have a similar set up I'm just putting together this winter... I just checked mine and around 125 on both cylinders and that seems really low to me.

If you are running an .060 base gasket, you have to run drop down domes or deck the cylinder to get your compression and squish right.

    high compression head

See that makes sense... What do you think would be the better option? Different domes or a thinner base gasket?

    Re: high compression head

Use the correct domes. You have to have a head that accepts drop down domes. If you don't then go back to OEM base gasket.

Right now if you have the .060 base gasket your squish is probably .100 or more, hence no compression...

I have a tbm girdled head with the 29.5cc domes... I ordered it as a kit assuming it would come with all the correct parts

The kit included the base plate?

You can get the drop down domes for that head from TBM.

    Re: high compression head

It should be obvious by looking at the domes if they are drop domes or not, but the amount of drop in them is also etched into the top of the dome. They should say .050 if they are drop domes. If you have that .062 base gasket and are not running drop domes, that would definitely not be good for performance.
