When you rebuild the carbs, you may want want to replace
the philip head screws with allens (hex), or Torx.

Horsepower == Speed, RPM != Speed

Thanks so much for your help wmazz! I understand how the carb diaphragm works, I was just confused how it would help my carbs, but now I totally understand. I will definitely look into buying a weather station to help tune my ski. Again, all of your help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Carbon Fiber ZXI hull conversion questions

So after 2 race seasons with this ski, it is time to sell her. I am the odd girl out in Region 9 (the region I race in) It has a lot (7+) of 800 runabouts and 0 1100/1200's for me to race against. I want competition so it's time to build an 800. As of now, this ski is for sale as a whole, no parting out. I am asking $6500 (trailer not included). Everything you need to know about it is in this thread. It goes 61-63 mph consistently and rips out if the hole. I just rebuilt the carbs also. I converted the speed plate to o-rings for easy carb tuning without the hassle of gaskets. It turns 7380 rpms. If you still want to know more, please feel free to ask. I am located in Haysville Kansas and would be willing to deliver up to 400 miles for a delivery fee. I will add recent pictures of the ski tomorrow.

$6500 for a rare hull and fast fun ski.
