    My New Double Standup Trailer

Alright, I gotta show this a little. I just bought an old '93 Zieman double standup trailer and gave it an update. Yes, more money is in it now than its worth, but oh well.........I'm keeping it for a llllloooong time. The reason I did this is I have a second standup on its way, and wanted to have a really nice double standup trailer.

Started as an old white Zieman double standup then:
-blasted and powder coated gloss black
    -gas can rack
    -new Zieman box
    -new bunks
    -new tongue jack
    -additional tie downs
    -led lights
    -new wiring
-new bearings, seals, and bearing buddy's
    -new tires
    -new chrome rims
    -new diamond plate
-new Zieman decals (did that after the photos)

    Thx for looking!

    Grant,

I have the same Zieman trailer. I was planning on doing something similar as far as a rebuild but I have one question for you. How did you mount the front of your 800 to the trailer. Mine now mounts in a hokey way because the welder didn't really think his plan out. Can you add some detailed pictures of this?

    THanks,

    Thanks for the compliments guys.

Ok, I probably tie my standups down differently than most of you, but I use these tie downs:
    Rear

    Front

Then I had the welder add these front tie down loops:

And as an after thought, I added these for rear tie downs:

You can get the above tie downs anywhere, I just pc'd them to match the trailer.

I am not using any "structures" as bow stops or anything like that. Just tie downs to centered anchor points. The rear tie down eliminates the ski from moving backwards, the front keeps it from moving forward. I also use the same method on the Sitdown/standup trailer I also just refurbed and it works really well.

Here's the tow vehicle. Luckily, both skis and trailer will be light enough for this to tow:
