Watch out for training also. Could be a little stressful weaving between armed Marines in RIB's and helicopters hovering feet about the ocean.

Thanks, I did 20 years in the Corps. I used to launch right on base right off the amtrack ramps. But I retired in 06' and haven't been down in that part of the ocean since then. I remember one year during el nino we road up the stream, which was an f-n river, and went way deep into the inland areas. Tons of debris, but it was a blast and the surf was giant.

Yes I usually ride there 2-3 times a week. Waves haven’t been too good lately. Come out one Saturday at 7-7:30am. If the waves are good there is always some of us riding
