    umm, quick question.

The meter has blue and grey connectors on it, the blue one I can unclip by pressing the little button on it and pulling but the grey one has a similar button which doesnt seem to release it...there is another sideway looking tab on the opposite side of the grey connector but I cant figure out what im supposed to do with it

can anyone tell me how to get the grey one apart?

thanks...I went back at it ignoring what appears to be another tab and it did come right apart.

Plugged in the new meter that came in yesterday, pulled out the stop switch and "beep beep"

Sounds like my problem is fixed, now I just need to take everything apart to try to install it.

Side note if you look at the manual its says to remove just about everything to get it out the display.
I got mine out of a R12 by taking off the steering pad and just taking off the front guards and then just take out all the bolts to centre frame and let seat lose will just give you enough room to get out the 4 Philips screws wit a stubby screwdriver

Mine display is looking rough, like yours before you cleaned it up. What did you use on it to get such a good result?

Never mind. I found a thread where you said you used Meguiar's PlastX.

I also used a cylindrical shaped buffing tool I got from harbor freight. It's about 1.5" dia X 1.5 long and fits into a drill. I used the flat end and just kept adding more Meguiar's to keep it from running dry. My display just about looks brand new now. It's nice to be able to see whats going on now. Also a lot easier to do this job before you install the display but can be done while in the ski. I would remove the ring that snaps around the front of the display in order to get all of the face.
