    96 SeaDoo HX800 Resto-Mod

I've always wanted a stock HX just to play around with. So when this popped up a few days ago on a local classifieds I quickly went to the bank and got the necessary cash-wad:

As you can see, it's far from stock. The current mods are:
UMI steering w/KVP billet throttle and switch box
Hot Tach Race pak w/EGT and water temp probes
    Manual bilge
VE920 jugs with watercraft magic porting
    custom stainless steel cradle
    Novi 46mm carbs
    watercraft magic billet intake manifold
    Buckshot head w/35cc domes
    Factory spec 1 pipe
    Reprogrammed MPEM for extended ravs
I'm not sure what it has for a prop, but it appears to be some kind of aftermarket swirl. I'll be pulling the engine for a thorough cleaning and inspection before I attempt to take it out. I'm not very keen on the 35cc domes since they will require 110 octane which is currently $7.50/gallon in my area. I won't be digging into too deeply until the fall when it will get the full Jettrim/Hydroturf/buff&polish/carbon vinyl wrap/paint treatment!

I'm starting in on it this week. This will need to be addressed:

I'm thinking about pulling the motor to get the bilge clean and will replace that boot at the same time.
    New bar-pad and refreshed Start/Stop

I have a new lens for the Hot Tach coming in this week as well. Then's it's just a matter of figuring out what the mystery switch mounted next to it does.

That's one of the first things I noticed. It has a hot tach III, so it has sufficient channels for two EGTs (each in the mani) and the water temp sensor. It just needs a new screen. Race Pak still has them but they've been giving me the run-around about getting a new one, saying they have them but they don't have a price for them.
