It means your engine was flooded with excess fuel & washed the inside of the exhaust out & you got black oily chit running out your exhaust.

Put it in the water & drive it,it will clear out.

Also, it is possible that the oil seeped into the crankcases over the winter. That happens when the crank seals get worn out.

Re: Oil leaking out of Exhaust pipe???

Ok well im still having trouble starting this thing. I tried to start it today and no luck whatsoever. I've tried pouring a lil gas into the cyl and still no go. Is there an easy way to pin point whether its gas or spark related? I would think its gas related because obviously its started up for me plenty of times within the last week.

Edit: Sry wrong thread but if you do read this, its the same ski having this problem.

I think your motor is flodding with fuel due to leaking needle & seats in the carbs.

The fact that putting fuel directly into the sparkplug hole is not compensating for a carbureation/fuel delivery problem, I'm with Dan on this. Gasoline fouled sparkplugs. Remove the 'plugs, spray with brake cleaner to clean and dry them, try again over and over until it will start. Once started hold higher rpm until the excess fuel is burnt off.

If you continue to experence this problem, remove, rebuild and install new needle valves in the carbs.
