87' js550 turning over slow

hi i've been having problems with my js550 it has been turing over slow so i recently put in a new e box in, a new battery and a new stator and it still is turning over slow.! Can someone please help me!?

If it turns over fast with the spark plugs removed then you may have a bad starter or wiring issue.

Tom, you may have missed the most obvious and most likely problem. A new battery does not necessarily mean it is fully charged (it might also be bad). Freestylekid23, what voltage is the battery with everything off? It should be at least 12 volts DC.

should check all batt cables and make sure they are tight... x2 on the batt charge make sure 12v min

Yep your correct, I know if I put a new battery in and it still dragged I'd be think'n Did I just get screwed on a new bad battery and then I'd be pissed and check it.

my battery charger says fully charged and it doesnt turn over super fast withour the plugs but turns over faster than with the plugs

Turning it over without the plugs just indicates that it's easier with zero compression. You could still have any of a number of problems with wiring, battery, contacts, solenoid, starter, crank, rings, pistons, etc.

You can't really trust a battery charger to indicate if a battery is fully charged or not, even if it has a voltmeter on it -- the volt gauges on those are horribly inaccurate.

Next step is a battery test with a load tester. It's really easy and will confirm whether or not your battery is indeed good or bad. If you don't have a tester, then the best way is to take it to an auto parts store and have them test it for free. If you can't do a load test this way, then you'll need to test the voltage on the battery as it turns over. Less than 9 volts and it's a bad battery.

If they/you test it correctly and it comes up as OK, then the next best course of action is to check wiring.

dont overlook the positive and negative cables, if they are damaged internally you will not get enough amps to turn the starter over fast when the engine is under a load. Clean the ground connection to the block too.
