    PWC Fender Recomendation

I'm a newbie so please forgive me if this questions has been asked before. I just bought a '06 F12X and am taking it to Lake Cumberland, KY this summer where we have chartered a houseboat for a week. At night I'll have to tie off the ski to the stern of the boat and am looking for a recommendation for PWC fenders. I've seen several different designs online, don't really like the type that attached with suction cups as that doesn't seem very secure. I've seen several other designs that hook under the rub rail and attach with a strap which seems much better. Any recommendations on the type/brand and where to purchase would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't have any recommendations but you are correct about the suction cup bumpers. They fall off.

There are no sure-fire fenders for low freeboard hulls like a PWC. I would instead throw out an anchor behind the PWC with an ANCHOR BUDDY attached to it and a rope from the PWC nose eye hook to the stern of the houseboat.
The bungi on the anchor buddy will keep the PWC pulled away from the back of the houseboat. When you want to board [the PWC] just grab the rope and pull the PWC in. The bungi on the anchor buddy will stretch and let the PWC come to the houseboat for boarding.

Sure, I always carry an Anchor Buddy [I even make my own] so that I can visit rock and shell covered beaches without damaging my gel coat. I also use a screw anchor into the beach. The Anchor Buddy keeps the wave-action from dragging the anchor since it allows the line to stretch instead of yank.

I carry a half dozen in my boat like that except they do not have a hook on the bottom. The hook is a good idea or else it will float up/get pushed up.
