    kawasaki 650sx killswitch swap

Hi, i have been given a new yamaha superjet stop start killswitch with lanyard by a friend. How hard will this be to wire into my 1989 kawasaki 650sx?

Old kawasaki switch has black, white, orange and blue wires.
New yamaha switch has black, white, red and brown wires.

It's easy. There are 4 wires on each. 2 starts and 2 stops. Just connect the 2 starts to the 2 starts and the 2 stops to the 2 stops.

My setup w yami switch to kawi is black to black, white to blue, orange to red, and brown to white. The other setup just caused my wires to smoke as soon as I hit the start button

Bringing up this old post as it has been brought to my attention that I had mistakenly gave some BAD advice here years ago...... My post above is INCORRECT. (Not sure what the heck I was thinking....)

On Older Kawasaki - Black/Blue is stop
    White/Orange is Start.

    ON Yamaha Red/Brown is start
    Black/White is stop.

Sorry to all for any confusion.....
