Help restoring a 84 js440

Hi everyone, my js440 hull needs restoration. does anyone have any tips on what to use to take the paint off without damaging the hull. It needs some Bondo work too. im hoping to get it ready before the Ohio river is warm! haha

I got some new hydroturf, its blue camo! has anybody ever tried a rattle can paintjob?

hey delsol ...theres about three coats of paint on that ski and two clear ..its going to take a lot of sanding to get it off ..u can buy fiberglass any where to fix ur hull but make sure u sand the cracks good and mix it right ..if u want it to look good I wouldnt use a rattle can will be hard to do but for a ruff coat not bear hull spray can wouldnt be bad

Hey! yeah theres a few coats of paint on there! I've been taking a few hours each week to sand it and fill up holes and scratches. I love working on things, so I'm loving it. I think I'll have it done here in a month. I've been thinking about a blue and white color scheme. I'll post some pictures of my progress when i get the chance.

Finally got around to finishing the bottom! I also built a stand made of 2x4's and scrap carpet. Does anybody know what adhesive is best for attaching hydroturf?

yeah, I finally fot it all put back together and took it out on the river yesterday, ill post some pictures soon I've been busy working on my quad

Thanks! I was riding it the other day and all of the sudden the timing slipped or something. it lost almost all of its power. I'm looking to trade my quad for a newer stand up with a little more power!
