Well, just got the motor in. Basically all stock with the shorter midshaft. Now the fun stuff begins.

good! bought some GRS 46 carbs from Wayne. should be here tomorrow. Inland jet pipe is welded up and ready to go. rear water box is modded and in. Foam was a pain in the rear end to get out. dual cool is tapped on the pump, manifold, and head. UMI installed w/ Fly bars. Found a good deal on a JD toploader and plate finally. Basically all that I need to get around to doing is running waterlines, gas line, install carbs, and glass in the stock exhaust exit

Looking great Norm. Is this motor going to be more rearward than your other tow triples? Will be interesting to see how this motor performs compared to the Blaster doo and John's kawi.

How awesome is it to have skis with this type of power than run on pump gas?

Yes, this is more rearward using the 1200 midshaft. I saw that there was room to move it back so I'll give it a try to compare with the others. Although I really do like the way my yami 1100 rides.

Definitely awesome conversions, even a hack like me can do it. And you're right about the power to cost ratio, can't beat that. Best of all is lots more fun to ride and race.

Norm's original 1100 is the reason I am working on a Kawi 1100 Blaster. Once you ride one you will be hooked !!

Also I had front row seat (3rd place) to see him lead a Polaris 785 by the nose at our last race in Nor Cal.

These are Kawi 440/550 mounts with a 3/8" 6061 aluminum. You will need to shim it up 1/16".

Yep, real easy. The hardest part was to hunt down the shorter mounts. Midshaft is from GP800 or GP1200. Mine is from a GP800.
