In that thread, he left a link to his Dec 11 Lake Perris ride event. I posted those mega-ghey Facebook pic's that some of you guys found, and a link to the scammer thread. I see that entire thread is now deleted as well.....

Re: What happened to the thread about eighty3js550?

Let's see, we've got an individual here who has allegedly used this website, alias usernames, and the US mail system to defraud others. That's a potential felony, right? Now we've got site management deleting evidence, documentation of this individual's potentially criminal activities, and warnings to others about this individual. Hmmm. Now, if a website actually wanted to be complicit with regards to such alleged crimes, what would a website need to do to be even more complicit? Also, if someone or a website actually wanted to provide a fertile landscape for such an individual to victimize additional members, what would a website need to do to help such nefarious individuals even more?

The fact that there is zero dialog at all is troubling. Come on Steph...I know you hate to "babysit" the "mob" but just deleting threads w/o any response makes zero sense.

Let me guess...he whined that the personal attacks on his sexual orientation (even though its public record on facebook) and his picture were too much? Let me guess....you didnt even read the threads?

Re: What happened to the thread about eighty3js550?

Looks like screenshots will have to become the norm going forward.

However, once the sh!t REALLY hits the fan due to one of these numerous SBT-protected scammers, and a REAL lawyer gets involved, and SBT gets named (as a party to the crime) in the suit/charges brought on by the victim - well, I'm guessing the courts will subpeona the original posts deleted by site management, and the screenshots won't be terribly necessary, will they?

Yeah, I get the fact that the site's TOU sometimes get tweaked a bit in these instances, but no website's TOU supersedes US federal or state law. I gotta believe that adjectives such as knowingly, complicit, and culpable would come up quite a bit during the trail...

Re: What happened to the thread about eighty3js550?

    Side note:
Yeah, I get the fact that the TOU here essentially say "buy and sell at your own risk". However, the TOU does NOT warn members that the site management actively hides and deletes evidence of criminal activity where members are victimized. It's one thing for steph to explain why enforcing their rules against multiple aliases isn't practical, but simply deleting evidence of potentially criminal activity is crossing a major line, IMHO...

Re: What happened to the thread about eighty3js550?

The thread should have stayed, as well as the pics as they were already on the internet. I agree with the the slander with regards to sexuality being removed.

By deleting the thread(s), and not making a stand you are only enabling the scammers and douchy sellers, all the while alienating the good upstanding members, not looking out for the no so new or uninformed members. You are failing to protect and maintain the integrity of this site (which seems to slip away more and more each week), as well as SBT.

A big Company like SBT has to have a Code of Values, and/or a Mission Statement. I would love to read them.

    Respectfully
    PoM

Everyone is always talking about leaving this site. The problem is, where do you go? The X is for freeriders, Green Hulk is more of a coucher site. This is the only site I know of that includes everyone. This is where I come to find out all of the info on racing etc. Without this site I feel like I would be out of touch. I'm thinking about just starting up a new site.
