    300sx/701/144mm conversion….

    Picked up a 300sx for dirt cheap and decided to have a winter build. Im gonna be putting a 701 and 144mm pump in it.

    I'll subscribe, I still wanna see an 800+ motor in a 300sx hull with a 144 mag though. Good luck with the build.

    he and i are going to make stainless steel conversion plates that will have holes drilled in them to line up with the stock motor mounts in the 300sx hull and then we are going to drill and tap holes on the plate to bolt the yamaha motor mounts to it. the bulkhead on the yamaha's tend to sit about 1/2 higher than the kawis so the difference will allow us to use these plates and it will also raise the engine up to line up perfectly with the new location of the midshaft.

    your not in line with where the coupler will be, not sure if you have enough room for that huge pipe, might be a better bet selling that and getting a FP for a B1?
