putting another order into US composites, how much foam do you think is needed to fill in the tray area? i was thinking 8lb foam but they only have 1/2 cubic feet or like 10... is a lighter weighted foam ok to use too?

You want to use the 4lb foam, two of the small kits should be enough

    Re: 650sx fixted steer!

i just dont want to constantly be doing wheelies all the time and jump and land straight up... i think im just going to add a few inches when i foam. i got my scupper valve tonight. wish i cheched out prices before i cut my hole. i did a 2 inch cut (i think) i didnt really measure i just did as big as would fit, i did it different than running it down the side because i figured unless im turning or something all the water will get stuck in the ribs and i know water collects right where i cut it, i got 2 45* fittings so im going to shicane it a little and then just run it out the back normally. i could have done a 1 1/2 inch valve but it would have been more head aches. this valve was 20 and the 1 1/2 was only 10 bucks but the smaller one just seemed like it would leak...

one question, i saw some "great stuff" foam and it said water resistant, can be sanded and painted... does this mean it would be closed cell? 3 bucks a can would be alot faster and cheaper than a bunch of 2 part foam...

Awe man its Cavey all over again, I am going to throw some advice out here, take it or leave it. Put the tools down and start doing some reading, evrything you keep asking has been covered a zillion times, the way you are going about this is all wrong, ask questions then cut, foam, sand etc not vice versa, you are creating a lot of headaches for yourself if you continue the process in the fashion you are using now.
