Get a fixed steer hood on that thing and you will never go back. Tom21s hood is real fun.

Put the hood on the SJ before the motor in the X2.
The pump and bottom of the SJ is the ticket. But poles are for strippers

    Do not get a scupper.

In theory they are great. However that theory can be torn apart by a simple zip tie getting stuck in the flap or the ski being upside down.

I have a Versiplug MAX in one of my SJ's...haven't had a chance to test it out yet in the water but its similar to a scupper in size. Very simple concept as well. Many people run them and I haven't heard anything bad about them yet. You still want to run some type of screen to keep any debris from holding the ball open(look it up..you will quickly see what im talking about).

You can't go wrong with electric bilge pumps though.

yes im gonna run dual pumps, atleast 500gph's maybe one 500gph, and one 1100gph, im gonna run them seperate that way i can just run one of them when im crusing and if one blows a fuse or gets clogged i have a backup.
just didnt know if there was a better way to keep water out of the hull. ill have a stock hood and new seal after rebuild/repaint. so i shouldnt get a ton of water inside but we will see once i start throwing that B**** around lol.

gonna be doing a CATS system to so should be interesting just haveing trouble finding a good writeup on one.

Today finished stripping pole and accesorys from topdeck.
still need to finsh tearing off turf, paint, and pump.
then i should be able to paint in a week or so.
