Sounds like a great ride. Riding the upper Hudson from Newburgh to Troy is always a yearly ride for me. I especially like stopping and taking a break on one of the island parks just north of Catskill. Was planning to do a Fall ride, but the conditions of the Hudson after the storm are giving me pause.

Let me know when you're going. I would like to do the trip again as well and maybe we can catch up with each other on the river.

    Re: Upper Hudson Trip

Not sure if it is doable this year. The river is full of so much silt, that I'm hesitant about running diluted mud through my engine. Also, from what I have seen, several of the fuel stops and marinas are closed due to storm damage; indeed the marina on Catskill creek has been washed away. It would be nice if a few of the upper Hudson riders would chime in and give a condition report.

Always have to keep an eye out for stuff on the river but I guess maybe more so now? Where did you ride? I am more concerned about being able to get fuel - if I launch at Cold Spring I will need Fuel at Saugerties or Kingston (I heard Catskill is trashed) and again in Albany. Anybody know if these gas stops are open?

If you you're going any time, let me know. Would love to join you. I have no idea if any gas stops are available. I usually launch out of Newburgh which is only a few miles north of Cold Spring.

Hey Hudson River Rider. Was going to do a city run Sat but the weather isn't looking so good so I am doing the Upper Hudson on Sunday. I am trailering to Cold Spring and launching there again. You want to meet up let me know and we can figure something out....
