surf riding bargenat light and island beach?

Hey everyone Im new here and sort of new to NJ. First summer back here in years. I been useing my jet ski alot since i live on the bay. I have been riding the inlet and at certian times there is so pretty good surf in there, but i was wondering is it ok to ride at island beach state park? I didnt get the nerve to get close enough to the beach last time i was out. Plus i ride by myself and didnt see anyone else doing it. also what times are the best to ride the inlet and get those big waves? i would assume when the tide is going out? Thanks.

Out in ocean its all good. South of inlet can get some good waves to jump. Just have to go out and see what type of action it is

Lots of shallow parts and sandbar around inlet on bayside.
