Hey guys, I have been posting this build very little on the Hulk and realized that I would get more help from here when needed so decided to start one here instead and keep going from where I left off. I will give you some information on what I have started with and have got so far.
I'm doing a yami 1100 blaster build. As if right now I have the hull almost all primed and sanded but needs to get another round and sealed. Also got the styrofoam out of the rear so it is ready for the waterboxes and rear exhaust outlet
I have ordered front mounts, crank case (damaged but perfect for a test fit case) Raider 1100 dual waterboxes, and some little things here and there.
I have sanded and trued the hull which is already to be sealed and painted as well. the ski is going to be a gloss jet black with a custom graphic kit (all visual work will be done before motor goes in).
I will post pictures up once I get more into getting it painted and glass work so I can get some opinions on what people think and maybe get some help if needed. Thanks guys and can't wait to get this build done! (my plan is to have this looking like a showroom ski but will ride the hell out of it!)
Still waiting to get the ski primed completely. Got some it primed and sanded again. The bottom is very smooth now. Also worked on making some motor mount measurement brackets so I can start fiber glassing some risers in the hull. It's SLOWLY making its way. Also trying to find some hose that connect both waterboxes together better. Gonna have to run out to the shop and see if I can find something that is big enough. Here is what I have so far. Ordering some of the diamond hydro-turf to replace the front and make some rub rails along the side.
Looks Good!!!
Do you need any aftermarket engine parts for that Yam 1100?
I have Msd total loss system, Riva intake manifold, Billet head shells, Ported Yam cases, etc....
Started workin on the motor mounts. What do you think would be the best way to put down the two new mounts for the 1100? As you can see I have mounts bolted to the front of the plates I made and they just hang there right now. They are spaced about an 1/8" from the hull. Was just thinking of the best way to do it. Let me know.
Working on gettin the glass built up. Is there any special way of telling if the motor is completely level? Don't need to be wearing out my mid shaft couplers.
Got one mount almost glassed in. Spent half a day making stainless mounts to go under the fiberglass. Should be able to finish them tomorrow or monday. Will post pics.
Found these on facebook. A guy over in Australia did this. Looks A LOT easier than glassing. Just don't know if putting the motor in this position will clear the hull at the pipe.

There are few things in the world as awesome as a day on a ski!
