I could care less what you think, I have the invoice to prove it, and a full carbon fiber hull to back it up. Why would I want to show up to where they shot deliverance? You play a banjo? Heard of Jetworks ever? They build high Perf motors and waterdawg kustoms build lightweight hulls. Talk to me when you have something worth talking about, inbread.

The straight pipe can expose you to a greater risk of a valve train failure. With the straight pipe your motor will rev faster due to less exhaust restriction and a greater DP across the turbo. When you have the motor loaded at 100% and it is reving quicker, then the pump looses suction you set yourself up for a very quick high rev spike. This is what causes valve train failures. I am not a mechanical engineer and have very little to no engine building experience and can still see how this happens.

To me, Mac posted some great advice in a friendly, low-key way. He is pointing out that when you spin your ski with a straight exhaust and no flapper valve, you can shove water up your exhaust and do many expensive things inside your turbo/engine. It sounds like good advice to me, IMO.
