If anyone can get them to run perfect, it would be Tim over at ZForce Racing.

    Re: boswell

There is no voodoo involved, but tuning them can be next to impossible, even for George Boswell as I watched him at every race for two years spending virtually all day every race day, trying to get RPM Racing's carbs working right and it seemed like they never ever got them right. In fact, it became a joke to other's that saw what I saw.

If you had been around when Mikuni round bodies were the carb of choice, you would have at some point become frustrated with their primary fuel circuit adjuster. Those carbs had the two that come on the SBN, along with a third adjuster for the primary circuit. With only three adjustments, they were a nightmare at times.

    Good luck with those carbs.

I have not spoken with him in quite awhile, but last I heard he was still the service manager at Nielson's, one of the largest PWC and Snomobile dealerships in America. They have a couple of dealerships in the Lake Michigan area, and are the current sponsors of the Grand Finale Snocross Championships each year at Lake Geneva. They have allways been active in pwc racing and promotions in and around the Great Lakes area of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconson.
    Good people Dave is.

Me too, Dr Portolio fought off a few legal battles because of George BOGSWELL carbureators.

    Re: boswell

Yeah, that was unfortunate for them. Good people (Joey and I raced R/A 640 ltd in region 8) but things just never seemed to "click" for them. Lots of money spent over the years!

Side question, will the rub rails from a GSX be long enough to wrap around an HX?
I'll still be using the stock front bumper.

I think that is the "air" jet. I called these carbs "boggswell" too, like Mr Bill said. I will tell you this...if you can get them dialed in, they run very well. Tim at Zforce is the only person I ever saw make them run perfect...
