VXR Plugs and filters

Does anyone know if the VXR takes the same spark plugs and oil filter as the VX and FXHO. I put 3 hours on the VXR and am just amazed how well it runs rides and accelerates. We hit 69 mph on the GPS!

Congrats man! I do not have the answer to your question but I wish I could experience 69 mph on a ski! It should be awesome feeling!

there is not a section in your owners manual that says, spark plug, oil, filter, torques,etc?? by part number or weight??

The VXR has pretty much the same 1.8 litre engine as the '09-'11 FX HO's. I would assume it uses the same NGK LFR6A plugs that the 1.8 litre FX HO's use. These plugs are larger than the ones used in the VX110 and earlier year FX HO's.

The plug was in the owners manual but it's the oil filter that I'm after. Which filters go on the FX HO?

You got me! But I'd sure like a K&N cross reference before I get to 10 hours...or 690 miles....

The oil filter is Yamaha part # 69J-13440-01-00, this same filter is used on all the 1800 cc Yamaha engines (2009 and later FX HO, SHO, and FZR/FZS). It is a different beast than the filter on the VX and older model FX HOs (pre-2009).

Got a K&N number? or any aftermarket cross references? The VX and the boat take the KN303.

No one has gotten an KN filter to fit without leaking issues from what I have seen so far
