    FOG's 550/750 Build

My last build was documented in 'What's the fastest...' thread. That beast has gone home to Texas with my son and it (and he) will be tearing up the water around DFW next year.

Now it's time for me to have one for myself. I just picked up an '86 550 hull that's mostly bare except for the drive line. I have a big pin 750 waiting in the shed for this ski but it will be a while before I get to that point. My hat's off to Smokin' FX1 for donating the hull.

First item on the agenda is to true the hull. After that, I will be reinforcing the nose and forward part of the engine bay. At the same time, I will be glassing in about 8lbs of sheet lead near the front.

So, it's official...ski is in my possession and it's time to get to work. I will post progress and pics

No, I will be using a 550 pump setup. We were getting 49+ MPH from last build with 550 pump. Shooting for about the same performance from this ski.
