Rad Dudes Gen2 X2 Top Deck Build GTX2

Well this has been a long time coming. I have wanted a Gen2 X2 ever since I first saw one. About 2 years ago when Trinity was going to make their epic pro hull I asked if they would make a top deck klt. Since all the Gen2 X2 was right from Kawasaki was a Sxr with a different top deck. So why not make a Top deck so we can have a new X2 by just buying a SXR and adding this top.
Thats where George jumped in and took his own ski and made a mold off of it. Then made his hood look more like the Jap aftermarket version hood to make the ski stand out even more, like it needs that LOL.
Here is a link to Georges build I said right off the bat I was in, and we even made up the metal kit for the hull, with a super strong Rad Dudes Hinge setup.

    So here is my build.

Started with a sxr hull, george chopped the top off and added his kit, then shipped it to me where, well I will let the pics do the talking.

    Highlights of the build
    Made a bulck head
    SE Stem
    Wet Pipe
    TRD water box
    1 off bilge brackets
    1 off bilge outlets
    DF prop and stuffer
    milled stock head coated
    whole motor coated
    and a ton of love

Your attention to detail is astonishing! You must be very proud. Are those Gen1 94-95 hood latches? I can't wait to see what you come up with to run your Blaster 1 Accusteer.

SXi latches because i wanted grey on it not the black SXR ones.

And Yes now its getting the stem more forward and up like the Fixed steer hood ski. That project is what I am working on this week.

As a gen1 rider the gen2 bars feel way too far back to me for the riding I do and the fact that I am taller. Now after riding the fix steer ski I built I know the bars on this need to go up and forward. And I'm not the only one who feels this way about these Gen2s.
On the racing side I could see the bars being great but for free ride, wave jumping, surf and a all around ski they need to be moved.

Looks good. Did you use the Solas Dyna prop you bough from me. If so was it a good match?
