Re: SXR 1100 triple pic's , and mod's build thread
I did a 650/750 swap and it looks like the people here might know something I don't, I just got a coffman's rocket pipe for the 750 motor and I cant figure out the cooling lines. The 650 has one port on the header and the coffmans has 3, as well as two more on the expansion chamber itself. The 650 has a line going from the head to the header and another going from the header out the pisser on the side. Theres also a line going from the pipe out to the pump. The coffman's header has two smaller ports on the bottom, one larger one on top, one on the top of the expansion chamber and one at the bottom. If anyone has diagrams for this of info on what should be water in and what should be water out that would be great.

7.1 gallon tanks for the 1100 are done. Adds over 2" of clearance between the front cover and tank, a battery tray, and an ebox mount. Designed to be used with the rear waterbox only. Battery is located in a very accessible place and the ebox mounts to a plate that is easily removable with two bolts right on top. Retains the external fill tube and also has an anodized billet cap connected to the tank with a lanyard for internal fills and getting the most possible fuel in the tank. The aluminum tank weighs nearly the same as the stock tank, ebox bracket, and stock battery box combined, so there is no increase in total weight besides the additional fuel. Your choice of cap color from silver, red, blue, and black.
Price is $399 + shipping.
Additional options: Powdercoating - $25, 3rd fuel pickup - $10, carbon fiber stop for the front of the tank - $15 (I recommend epoxying some kind of tank stop/locator to the hull between the front of the tank and the motor to prevent the tank from shifting)
I have 5 of the regular tanks and 1 tank made without a battery tray that has 7.8 gallons of capacity.

Very nice but adding an additional 2+ gallons of gas up front adds about 12lbs. Throw in that battery at about another 16lbs unless you use a lithium, that is a lot of nose weight!Last edited by Ragged Edge Racing; 06-30-2017, 06:39 PM.

Re: SXR 1100 triple pic's , and mod's build thread
If you aren't going to fill it up, then why even bother getting it in the first plaçe?
And I would debate that 90% of the 1100 conversions are for recreational riding.Last edited by Ragged Edge Racing; 06-30-2017, 07:48 PM.

Re: SXR 1100 triple pic's , and mod's build thread
The tank was requested by and designed for a couple of rec riders, so I would say that is definitely the target market. However, with less fuel, the only real difference in weight distribution would be the battery placement. I'm assuming the guys who race fill their skis up with just enough fuel to finish the race anyways...
