Increased flow. A drilled stock box will make the same or more power than a aftermarket water box and won't be as loud and only cost you time and a drill bit.RAD DUDES

Or if you're stupid and don't take your time, the cost of a second drill bit once you destroy the first one.
I'd recommend using some sort of lubricant while drilling, those waterboxes are freakin hard1990 X2 - Drilled Waterbox, Bolted steering Mod, oil pump delete, 38mm, chopped hull. In the Works: 15.5 skat trak, hydro turf, decals, etc ....

If it's stainless it's probably stock. All the aftermarket ones I've seem are aluminum. Post up some pics and I'm sure someone will be able to ID it. Or you have my email, send some pics.Special thanks to Newmiller Machine, IPD Graphics, Psycho Sims Racing, C57 Racing Products, RHAAS Products, and IMPROS!

Re: Easy How To X2 and SX Water Box Drilling
If you have access to a drill press, use it. It's A LOT easier. If you break the tip off the bit that goes in the drill, just slide down. Don't ask me how I know.Bullet Gen2 X2 DASA 920 ported by Erik Brigham @ True Performance Engineering

#12 UnapprovedRe: Easy How To X2 and SX Water Box Drilling
My friends drilled water box was still pretty loud. Perhaps he had too many holes or was running too dry.
If you can find an after market resonator the racers back in the day would run an aftermarket waterbox with an in-line resonator after to cut the noise. Another option.Last edited by Guest; 09-11-2010, 06:59 AM.

Another tip for drilling stainless is go SLOW! High speeds will burn up your bit. A $12 dollar bit from Lowes will last you if you go slow.Special thanks to Newmiller Machine, IPD Graphics, Psycho Sims Racing, C57 Racing Products, RHAAS Products, and IMPROS!
