Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
Go back to the jet pump and remove the fitting, brass nut and the little metal piece from around the cable. Then the trim assembly and cable come out as one.

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
Ok. I think I got it. I had to take a plate off the bottom and remove another big bolt from the back of the ski. Got it.

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
Ok. I got it out. Now, what is the first thing to test/rebuild/clean?

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
Well the problem with mine was that it had bound itself. I would remove the motor and see if you can turn the worm gear. I had to use a big wrench on mine to unbind it.

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
What did you connect to move the motor? It seems as if it's frozen.

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
You can't turn the motor by hand because of the way it is geared inside. Just remove it from the assembly and check to make sure the worm gear will move.

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
You mean to remove the worm gear from the mechanism? From what I can feel, the thing that moves back and forth on the spiral worm gearn doesnt move.

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
No, just take the electric motor out and will will see a hex head that you can turn to move the worm gear. That should rotate freely and the cable will go in and out.

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
Take out the piece marked in blue. That is the motor assembly.

Re: Kawasaki 750 Electric Trim problem
Ring gear and adjuster was locked up...looked as if it over extended itself. I took an allen and I broke it free, greased it up, and now it spins freely. I'm going to put it all back together now. Will pat myself on the back if it works, I feel accomplished. Thank you for the help
