2 stroke restrictions
So it's been a good 15 or so yrs since I've lived in S.Cal. and am seriously considering moving back.
I've heard quite a few rumors regarding 2 strokes when I was in Tahoe and am wondering how that affected S.Cal area lakes. I'll be in the vicinity of San Fern.Valley area. Castaic, Lake Piru, Casitas,Cachuma, Isabella and any other lakes in the surrounding areas.
BTW, I have a 550 SX I'll be taking and all I've ever run her in is fresh water. Wanna keep it that way.
I looked at this....http://dbw.ca.gov/Environmental/TwoStroke/TSList.aspx Is that all of them???
Thanks for the help!!

Re: 2 stroke restrictions
For Tahoe it would need to be DI and not carb'd

Tahoe I've since figured it all out and know what's up with it. Now I'm mainly curious about S.Cal. area. But thanks though.

Ran with that chopped up aluminum prop? That's pretty much a waste of time. I understand wanting to go for a run but that's like running down the 1/4 mile with the parking brake on.

Re: 2 stroke restrictions
Currently the only lake in California having any issues with 2-strokes is Tahoe. As far as I know all the other lakes allow 2-strokes.
Tahoe requires either 4-strokes or DI 2-strokes and you better have the Carb 2 star stickers on the hull.

Good to know!!!!!!
Thanks!
Will be nice to hit my old stompin' grounds again. Castaic! Nice. I wonder if all those large and small mouth bass I caught and let go are still around? LOL!!! Pyramid used to have a lot of log jams way back when. Hmm...will have to scope it out.

Kinda figured as much for Tahoe. When I was livin' there TRPA was gunnin' for 2 strokes and wooden boats.
For good reason though. Clarity of the lake is being lost.

I know it's an old topic but lake isabella is by far my favorite lake in CA...can't wait to go soon...and I believe it's the only lake in CA that has no speed limit for boats or pwc's! even though we gun it wherever we are.
