A lifetime ago, I had the great fortune to tag along with my brother Mark, as he and Scott Watkins were hired to do demonstrations in Daytona Beach during MTV's Spring Break. Of course, as a photographer, I shot a bunch a snaps, which appeared in the pwc magazines of the day.
After that, I was hired for three years as MTV's official Spring Break photographer, shooting all sorts of fun and games on the beach. Part of me deal with MTV was that I was able to keep some of the pics and submit them to the various magazines.
On Wednesday last week, I received an email from a journalist in Daytona who is working on a feature-length documentary about the rise and fall of Spring Break at Daytona Beach. He called me to see if I still had any photos - oh yes, very much so. They also want to interview me about my experience as a photographer.
Anyway, this all prompted me to scan some of the magazine coverage from some of those years, which I'm posting below for everyone's enjoyment.

Yup - that was actually shot at a race the week after Spring Break down in Ft. Myers and the editors at the magazine threw it into the mix to make it more pwc-relevant, I guess.
