    If it spent a season in the salt, be sure to check our the pump housing for rubbing. I just bought 3 Hondas that spent time in the salt and the salt infiltrated between the stainless steel pump liner and the aluminum pump housing. The aluminum corroding between them actually squeezes the liner until it strikes the impeller. All three of my pump housings are bad and they are $225 each plus a new impeller.

    is that prevented if you flush them after saltwater use JR?

    Do you have any photos to show exactly where you are talking about? Any way to maintenance/clean it out?
