    The problem is that the MPEM's are potted with a compound that is very difficult to remove to get at the blown part(s). Connecting the cables backwards can blow out a large number of parts, so many that it wouldn't be practical to do it.

    Hey guys I accidentally hooked the thin black wire for the vts to the + terminal. Thankfully i caught it right away and the ski fires fine. The only problem is now my VTS does not work. The module clicks in both up and down. The fuses look good. Do you think I fried the module? also can anyone tell me what fuse is for the vts? I have a 5 and a 15 am in the black box next to the battery where the starter solenoid is but no 7.5amp. This all happened after I replaced the starter solenoid and I am super bummed.
