Maine. Are restaurants near you suffering from staffing shortages? It's brutal near me.

    Re: The Question Game

YES - everywhere is - there are signs up all over stating that places are hiring - some fast food joints are only running drive thru because they can't staff the lobby and front lines - we have manufacturing plants shutting down lines because they do not have the people they need to keep them running - it's insane - it's not just "low paying" jobs that people aren't filling it's anything and everything.

    Next?

    Re: The Question Game

SoCal is having the exact same issues that Wetjet mentioned..

LOTS of “Now Hiring” signs in business windows. But staffing shortages is a major issue right now. I don’t know what the pay is or benefits/perks being offered. But I see LOTS of signs that need people to fill positions.

Is the highway traffic or surface streets heavier with car traffic, or is it about the same in your area?

(My area has picked up significantly! Freeway,
    & surface streets)

    Re: The Question Game

Traffic feels normal to me for this time of year.

Have you ever tried one of those 3D puzzles?
The problem with normal is that it just keeps getting worse...

I would rather sit than quit...

I have not but they look interesting. We have friends that do puzzles over Christmas/ New Years so maybe we should give them one as a gift?

    Good idea?

    Re: The Question Game

I wake up at 0330 hrs - 0400 hrs. everyday and it is still dark outside…

I have noticed that it is getting darker sooner in the evening just before 1930 hrs.

Do you know your military time?

(My company has always used it. So I always use it as well. I actually prefer it. There’s no mistake of if it’s “AM or PM”, when using it)

I know it, but never ever use it. Like a good tuna melt?

    Re: The Question Game

    I love a great tuna fish sandwich…

I don’t eat it too often. Maybe a few times a year. But a tuna fish melt I rarely, if ever have delved into. I guess I need to find a place out here that makes them, as I’ve never sought this food out before.

Did you know that that tall white chef’s hat with the pleats, called a toque, represents how many ways that chef can prepare eggs?

(I did look this fact up)
