    Re: The Question Game

Skis. I'm old. I did try snowboarding a few years ago figuring my stance and 'skill' (I'm not THAT skilled to be honest, but I do ok) on a stand up would translate well to a snowboard. Well, it did not translate well at all. I spent the whole day on my face or on my arse. Still a fun day though. I certainly gave my son and his buddies something to laugh about all day.

    I hear Ya...

I’ll be visiting my local voting center later today. It’s only 1 mi. away and will also just take 5 mins. to complete.

About White Sands, NM...my brother served in the Air Force and was stationed in White Sands, NM. He called it the “Land of Entrapment” because of the desolate location and not much to do but race Mopar muscle cars. It’s called White Sands because of just that...white sand with sand dunes. We played on them and wrote our last name in the sand dunes and my dad took some pictures of us standing next to our family name. But other than the military base and those sand dunes. I couldn’t tell you much else of else there is to see. I’m sure there is a lot of Indian history. Bit seeing how Breaking Bad was filmed there because of its desolate nature. I hope you find interesting sites to tour.

Do you have face mask laundry to do now? In addition to regular laundry?

Nope - there are plenty of the disposable blue masks available now and I only wear them when I have to anyway.

Have you looked at the Covid cases versus the deaths and notice the 2 trends do not align with each other?

(which is a good thing BTW or we would be over 500K dead)

    Re: The Question Game

The covid case rate will continue to rise because the amount of testing is skyrocketing. Deaths , well, they'll keep happening, although nowadays if you got hit by a beer truck while crossing the road and simultaneously shooting yourself in the head, it would still be chocked up to covid. Last time you replaced your smoke detectors? Not the batteries, the detectors themselves. My brother, who is an electrician, said they really should be changed every 10 years. I just changed mine this morning. 2 have been up for 33 years, 2 have been up for 23 years ...hardwired. Replaced them with smoke/CO combos.

    Re: The Question Game

    My smoke detectors are 1995.

My batteries are 6 months old.

I know they work because when I burn something in the toaster oven it kicks right in but maybe it is a good idea to replace both.

I believe I saw two for $30 at Home Depot last week, that seems reasonable.

    Ever owned any Lincoln automobiles?
Saw a used mkz that my wife drove, pretty impressive ride.

Does a Cougar count?? I am not sure if they were Lincoln Mercury or not when it was manufactured.

    Re: The Question Game

I'm not certain if it does or not. I believe the Cougar was made by Mercury and not Lincoln. But they seem one and the same to me because I don't know the difference. My uncle had a Cougar as well when I was about 13 yrs. old. A 2 door, 2 tone model. I haven't ridden driven a Lincoln product that I know of. But I do like the looks of them! Powerful engine & pure luxury. I don't know of it's reliability factor though. Maybe check Consumer Reports and Car and Driver for their take on all on the details. I love me a Cadillac too! Even from way back when they were described as "tanks & boats". An Escalade or a CT5-V will do me just fine!

According to the internet. Did you know that the very first speeding ticket issued in America was in 1902? Can you guess what the speed was when the citation(not the Chevy Citation) was issued?

Also, did you know that cruise control was invented by a blind man?

    17 in a 15 is my guess

Did not know about cruise control. Interesting.

In 30 years will there still be dogs that dont have an 'oodle as part of the breed?
