well i was thinking of stuffing a polaris 800 twin with VES into a js 300 hull
just not sure how i would start fab it up ... only issue is heat from exaust, aggragement on exaust
    and the coupler

if you got it jammed in there. it would probably melt your hull!!! how would you go from belt drive to direct to the shaft?

well the clutch can be removed and will only show the tamper ..
and do a custom coupler.. and slide it back on and bolt it in . i think you are right about the exaust .. how about what if you used a exaust wrap on the pipes would that work ?

Converting it to open loop cooling would be a heck of a challenge, but not impossible.

Does Polaris have a water craft engine similar to that? If so, does the watercraft exhaust manifold bolt up?

You would probably want to remove any clutches, and of course fab a PTO or coupling to the end of the crank.

Personally, I would shoehorn in an existing water craft engine, it would cut down on fabrication a lot.

maybe... im willing that compartment would get super hot and hinder your intake though... and if exhaust leaks at all. sufficate the engine. it would take some hardcore fabricating to get this to work!! and did you think about cooling???

well for the water cooling it has built in waterpump maybe route it as same way as you would on jetski but water will exit out of the exhaust ?? like a boat would ?

js, see what i mean. i knew you would get some input. everything we have talked about has come up. now we just have to do some fine tuning on fab work and getting a pump prime for cooling. may have to work out a pre-prime system before starting the motor but at least you wouldn't have to worry about back flooding the motor with water. or would you?
