    winterizing VX110 and FXHO

I hate to say it but it's time for me to winterize my waverunners. Any recommendations of where to get it done or should I just go to Yamaha of Louisville? Or is it something I could do myself? Love to be able to save some bucks but want to make sure it's done the correct way too.

    Thanks

I did my HO last Sunday and it took 1 hour and 15 min and cost a total of $60. The SEARCH button is your friend...learn how to do it yourself.

Been searching. Is it just a matter of fogging and sta-bil? Not sure where to spray the fog.

    Yep!
Fill it with gas… and put stabilizer in it.
-Run it a bit with anti-freeze in it (normally the pink stuff made for aluminum engines)…. Run it until the antifreeze come out..
-Fog the engine with oil (you buy special fogging oil… normally I pull the plugs and liberally spray it in each cylinder… turn motor over a few times (without plugs)…..
-Disconnect the battery. Grease the coupler (should be a grease fitting towards the rear of the engine).

So remove the plugs and stray the fogging oil in that way. Got it.

How do you get the anti-freeze in? I know the flushout port but can you tell me the procedure you use to do it?

Hmm.. that's a good question. I put the antifreeze in my "Salt-A-Way" canister and ran it through the hose (same as if I was flushing it but with Antifreeze). I'm not sure the best way to do it otherwise maybe someone can chime in.

I'm running in lakes so don't need salt-a-way. I did look it up and I guess I could just get the mixing unit. I take it that you use the mixing unit so your antifreeze is diluted.
