Which button or buttons do you depress? Do you hold them down or depress and release?

I think mine swallowed some sand.

Took 2 hours to get it free

Seems like I would know better by now

0906161244.jpgWater enters and drains at this pipe. Cylinder head also has passages that get clogged. See it all the time.

0804161014.jpg Crap gets almost as hard as tile grout. Seen this many times in my neck of the woods. Often it's packed right at the thermoswitch.

I have been through this process with the salt accumulation and formation (thanks to an un-named household member who did not remember to flush....).

Mine looked exactly like your photo. I will measure the Thermo Switches first. I want to take them out of the equation

I had the head off and cleaned it well in 2015. I have since unintentionally plowed into a sand bar at high speed. (long story) Took hours to get it out.

I may have the water jacket full of sand. The oil cooler may also be full

OH YES I REMEMBER. I had to put down the screwdriver and pick up a dremel motor tool

I would post photos but Photobucket (where I USE to store photos) has gotten weird. They now want $400 if you want to share your photos. Go figure. Goodbye Photobucket

Going by memory, I seem to remember the cooling water inlet and outlet, on mine, being the two pipes coming out of the top of the valve cover

Frankly I am hoping for a bad Thermo-switch because I sold my engine hoist... wouldn't you know it
