4 Stroke in an XiR? Racing ones? Any pics? That sounds cool... but somehow unecessary. I've got a friend who's got a race 750ish kawi motor with a super rare pipe thats gotta be pumpin out 150-160hp. That would be insane! He wouldn't part with that for 10k he once told me.

Not 100% positive about that though. It's not pristine, but it's in very good condition, it's a survivor that didn't get tortured on the race circuit like my previous XiR (sold that one @ the '94 finals to a bunch of nice peeps from Thialand, missed it ever since!). Once I get her cleaned up, I'll post up some pics. Not sure if I'm gonna keep her or let some one else enjoy her, but I AM gonna take her for a spin before I make that decision.
Pics are MANDATORY!!! Good catch!! Is there a way to tell from the HIN which one out of 500 it is? I wonder if mine has that sticker...

Hey Frank i think zpilot meant that a 4stroke was attached to it as in package deals, not actually attached to the ski... unless i read it wrong

No pics yet, but I had it on the water about 3 times already . I want to compare it to my '96 XP race boat, should be interesting. I'll try & post up some pics soon.

Ok, here we go. Here's some pics. I know it's gotta be cleaned up, I only gave it a quick bath, and pressure washed the engine compartment (it was nasty!, still needs some good scrubbing to make me happy, but it's a start). I plan on keeping it stock with the exception of the Solas prop already in it (not sure of the pitch, didn't take the pump out to inspect yet), and a Solas dual scoop grate to replace the broken PJS grate that's on it already. Also going to replace the handle bar pad cover, the zipper is broken, and I need to access it so I can lubricate the steering assembly, it's a little on the tight side, also gonna replace the "funky" hydroturf with a solid light gray hydroturf so it's back to stock colors, and replacing the seat cover. That's about it.

Looks good. I, too, am staying primarily stock...for now. I am getting the light grey hydro turf and removing some crappy stickers the previous owner put on. But I am putting on a set of Renthals and a trigger throttle. Eventually, if I have it long enough, I would like to paint it like the old PJS race boats.

I did find out that my ski had an Ohio title before it moved down to West Virginia. Not sure if it is originally from Ohio. I can't find that sticker Jet Set has, but what about the number stamped on the case above one of the intakes? Is it the motor ID number, or possibly a record of what # out of 500 the ski is. I didn't write mine down, but it was something like JH750D000136. Is mine #136 out of 500?

Wow looks really good Derrick. Decals look pretty nice, and man that engine compartment looks clean after you pressure washed it. Let me know how you think it handles compaired to your modded XP. I look forward to comparing mine to my stock 720 XP. I'm thinking it will corner better but not be as fast stock for stock.

Hmm, I'm going to have to check that. I gotta see if there's a sticker like Derrick's had too, I think there might be.

The stamping on the engine cases, right on top of the reed cage area, is the engine serial numbers. In '94, if the stamping started with JH, it was designated for a runabout hull. If it started with JS, it went into a stand up hull. I think the only differences between the JH & JS designations were the cylinders & heads. The differences were port timing & head dome size.
