Recently I started the project to change the engine on a ' 08 superjet.
Take out the 72hp, 701 engine, and install a GP1200, 135 hp 3cylinder engine.
Beside some pump and rideplate issieu's (still to be fine tuned), the build was a big succes.
You can follow the progress on: superjet1200.nl (copy to your browser)
Thanks for your positive reactions,
in fact I scaled it last week and compared to a brand new Superjet 700 (without gasoline, but with battery)
The Superjet 1200 is 21 kg heavier.
Original brandnew superjet 700 ( without gasoline, with battery ) = 147 kg
Superjet 1200 ( without gasoline , with battery ) = 168 kg
My keybord is now 20 cm further away from me. ( Acceleration lenghtened my arms )
honest.....I never had a unit pull so hard, infact I will change the impeller to a 17 / 23 Solas.
16 / 20 concord is too light !!, not even for the speed 94km/h but to reduce the torque out of a corner.(I get tired very fast)
The pump is standard (blue printed) with TBM pumpcone (longest cone) and modified R&D intake and current 16 / 20 Solas concord.
Next week I will test the 17 / 23 and update my site.
My guess is to gain 2 km / h, and have a better (less) torque on mid RPM.
