    PWC illustrated magazine

I just got my first copy of this rag and it has an awesome test in there on the new FZR with
bolt on mods will do 80 mph. Overall a good mag. many good articles. If you have not seen it check it out. you can find it on the web. That FZR test was with a stock ski and then modded at each level and dino tested after each stage. Impressive results- Yes !
cost = $8,000 + Now thats results ! The upgraded ECM is $3000 alone....

    Waterhog,

I'm glad you liked the article, I made it a point to be as thorough as humanly imaginable. Of course, take into account that I, the test rider, weigh 220 lbs, it was well over 100 degrees during our final 80 mph run, and no "fine tuning" was done (shimming the ride plate, tweaking with the out-of-the-box MoTeC tune, etc.). Using only remedial tools, and installing each of the components there at the beach, this ski went 80! That's pretty damned cool.

I hope you calling Personal Watercraft Illustrated a "rag" was a term of endearment, as PWI continues to be America's leading PWC enthusiast publication and is quickly overtaking the international market as well. Of course, none of this success could be accomplished without you guys and your input. I get letters everyday from loyal readers helping to refine PWI into the magazine it is today.

Thanks for the help and always feel free to drop me a line with comments and suggestions!

    Re: PWC illustrated magazine

My watercraft world magazine subscription got converted to "Trailer boats" magazine subscription. Which is lame. I will have to subscribe to PWI. Watercraft world got out of the PWC magazine business according to the letter I received from them, which sucks because I had only received like 1 issue before it got converted to Trailer Boats!
Gone but not forgotten! gotta get a ski soon!

    Re: PWC illustrated magazine

Kevin, I was refering the RAG as in old school for magazine. I you guys offer more straight up performance test like these with results posted at each step of the way you are
going to make allot or readers happy. I also get Boating Life - Rag which I have been into
for about 2 years. It's good and has good articles sometimes inlcude watercraft. But for the most part it's about high end boats that are very hard to sell or afford...

I own a 1988 VIP Vision Bowrider W/ 3 litre Mercruiser / Alpha 1 drive as well as the VX 110
    Deluxe.

    Pauls right -Trailer boats- sucks...

Wow! I'm going to punch my webmaster in the back of the head. The direct link to the page is gone from our Home page!

Here's the link to the Cycle News webstore:

You can always call our Subscription Services department at 714/751-7433.

    Sorry for the inconvenience, guys.
