    Tubing Possible

Does a '95 GTX have enough power to pull a tube with driver, spotter, and tuber?

Yes, barely, with a light person on the tube. Big strain on the jetpump and motor though.

So I'm guessing that it's probably not good for it then?

My biggest fear is there is no proper place to attach the rope. On a corner could you rip the dock strap out of the hull?

Won't the loop that you attach trailer tie downs to work? I would imagine those loops take some stress when you trailer a ski and hit bumps...

I tubed with my 96 XP 800 a bunch of times, driver, spotter, and tuber...had a great time, just modulated the throttle and never took it over 35ish to keep from putting strain on the motor. and yes, i attached the tow line to the same hook used for the hold down strap.

But doesn't the 96 XP have a larger engine?

Yes, the 95 GTX had the 650/657 and the 96XP had the 787. Big difference in towing power. I think it's illegal to tow behind a two seater as well.

it is most certain illegal to tow behind a 2 seater. you are supposed ot have enought seats on the vehicle to hold everyone out there at the time. so a seat for the driver, spotter, and tuber or whatever. which makes double tubing and things like that also illegal but most ppl dont know that either.

nope, just need a flag in the sotrage bin to leave with a person in the event you have to get 2 of the 3 people back to shore. As long as you have a spotter, and the flag, you can tube with a 2 seater. At least its that way in michigan.
