    Re: General-X Build, 1100 Kawi in a X2

    Ok well today I pulled the 750 out for my 95 and put the 2 on the bench next to each other. With everyone saying how big the 1100 is and how it is too heavy I just wanted to see how true that was.

    Well I gave the 1100 a fighting chance by leaving the air filters and starter on the 750. Both had the stock motor plates on them.

    So here it is

    750 = 80pounds

    1100 = 117pounds

    She is a big ***** I will say that.

    Got a few more parts for the build. I have been alittle slow since I broke my arm last week.
    Got a coff purple pipe that seems to be right for the build but i will have to cut it up alittle.Looks like if I cut the tail cone off and bring it up and run a 180 off that ill be good.
    I also got a different aftermarket pipe but I dont think I am going to use much of that one.
    I also found the right coupler now, its off a 900 and fits the 1100 crank and the X2 shaft coupler size.

    That's not much difference in hp per lbs. It should still hit super hard

    I have a brand new sxr 800 pump with zero hours on it that is going in this build for now. Then down the road I can just drop the Skat mag pump right in and see how much it changes things.

    Re: General-X Build, 1100 Kawi in a X2

    Ok I have had a few other projects to work on, but I had some time the other day to work on my jig. I built this just to get an idea of how I want to make the motor plate. I lined up everything off a 750 to get everything as if it was in the x2, but i can see what i am working with on the bench.
    So I will be adding 2 extra mounts int he hull making 6 total. The stock plate has a bump in it the hits right where the center 2 mounts will be now. and the rear holes are off but the motor is only a hair off from being in the right spot front to back. The up and down is off by 1/8 inch or so to the stock X2 shaft.

    I am going to be using a JSH alum plate and welding extra on to it to make the plate i will use. I will have more pics soon.
