    Re: JETMATE owners thread ...

Hi All im new to forum and posting. I have searched hard on this subject but really never found much on wiring a SXR 800 into a jet mate. I did send a private message to OLDX2 as I saw he had a similar build but looks like he used the Jet Mate E Box. Mine is a stock 2010 SXR 800 with dual carbs going to be using stock pipe and water box from JM. I was able to adapt the throttle and choke cables to work with supplied SXR mount. I have a impeller going in I got from Dave at impros and one of the aftermarket fuel tanks that was sold here a month or so ago. ( I bought two! very nice tanks props to the builder!!!) anyway everything seems to be going fine except matching up the wires from SXR Ebox to whats left on Jet Mate wires. I do understand that I need to run blower and bilge straight to battery. What Do I do with the on off at drive handle and then I have the same thing below on the console. There is the dead mans off with lanyard and the on/off that you use the key for. I just dont know how to figure out from SXR EBOX what left wires go where. There are two different wires left from ebox. One is a plug with two wires to it and the other has four wires. Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

Ok I was able to get a lot of help from different guys on this site. Thanks to them. Does anyone have a pic for a cheater mod pipe that has been done. I need to see where the fitting goes towards the end of the pipe prior I believe going into the waterbox. Do most of you guys use a cheater pipe? Is it necessary? Im doing a 800 build and wanting to use stock pipe and water box.

1/2 inch through hull pipe with dual cooling

So im going to do this modification through the hull enlarging the pipe to 1/2 inch. I read where a user did dual cooling and ran it up the fuel area and out the back for fire extinguisher area. Is there an issue if I do 1/2 inch on the through hull and dual cooling. Will this make the engine run to cold or is it ok.

    Pump and shaft angle

I am trying to find out the jetpump shaft angle relative to the floor/ hull of the jetmate.

Am fitting a 550 pump and shaft to an aatv , designs for pump angle seem to range between 3 and 8 degrees.

Mine seems to sit well for install purposes at 4.7 degrees.

Jetmate seems to be the only “square/blocky” hull I can compare to.

Owned an honda F12X and a hamilton J83 jetboat for last 6 years,
So have a bit of knowledge of jet drives.

Also what sort of RPM do You guys need to get on the plane ?

And a close up photo of the jetmate inlet would be appreciated.
