Engine clicks but won't turn over

Hello, I got a new muffler hose and battery the ski started up lots more power but shut it off and when we tried to resart it, I can hear a click and thats it opened the black plug on front of motor it is triying to turn the wheel but it can't seem to do it. Any ideas on were to start?

What type of tigershark is it?

Look in the pump from back and from under. See if there is anything in it.

Take the plugs out and try to turn it by hand from the back of the engine. you will probably have to take off the cover to the engine coupler.

It is a 1993 I can not turn buy hand I put towel around drive shaft and it moves a very little.

take your spark plugs out and see if it will turn over. If so, your battery doesn't have a good charge.

I will go try that now but I Just bought brand new sealed gel battery, even tried jump starting

look in your electrical box for starter relay (solenoid) and put a screwdriver between the 2 posts. If it turns over, you need a new one. If it does nothing then its good and will have to look somewhere else. Also clean and tighten your battery, starter and ground cables.

Can you turn it by hand with the plugs out. It is easier.

Also there may be a notch in the driveshaft somewhere that will fit a 17mm wrench. This may help to turn it.

I can not turn with plugs in or out I can rock it 1mm or less with a wrag around shaft with monkey wrench. We are just going to the lake now with the 89 Kawi so the kid can ride and I'll wrench I will try the solenoid idea

Sounds to me that something is broken and stopping your engine from turning. I had a buddy that had the stator parts come apart and bind up the flywheel. Big mess.

Not any luck yet guy at the lake said it apears seized but we heard nothing before it stopped starting.

Thats what my friend thinks something in the fly wheel starter area binding, as we can see the wheel under the timing mark trying to spin, guy at the lake siad I should have oil in that front housing where the oil injector unit is , others on forums said NO WAY unsure manual says nothing about oil in that spot and then if so where do you drian it? He alson said he had simmilar problem same ski put trans fluid in each spark plug hole overnight unseized his unsure of this advise either I will give him that he was riding his TS and I am not.

nothing goes in the hole in the mag case. That's for timing only. It does sound like you have a seized engine, especially if you can't turn the engine over with the plugs out. Don't keep trying to start it, you will break the teeth on the starter, bendix and or flywheel.
