    Re: turbo lubrication

The pictures are not longer working. Could someone post pictures of where I need to lube the turbo? Thanks

Now if you look at the Maintence Schedule in the owner manual you will see that regular maintence involving lubes are:

    Throttle Cable (inspect/lube) [6mon/100hours] and [12mon/200hours]
    Reverse System (inspect/lube) [6mon/100hours] and [12mon/200hours]
    Steering System (inspect/lube) [6mon/100hours] and [12mon/200hours]
The three above you should use Honda PWC - Unilite M #2
    Part# 08C10-PWC-021

Throttle Body (inspect/lube) [10hours], [6mon/100hours], [12mon/200hours], and after every ride.
    Turbo (inspect/lube) [10hours], [6mon/100hours], [12mon/200hours], and after every ride.
Nuts, Bolts, Fasteners, general metals (inspect/lube) [10hours], [6mon/100hours], [12mon/200hours], and after every ride.
The three above, you should use Anti-Corrision Lube like CRC 6-56, Honda PWC General Purpose Lube Part# 08C10-PWC-008 , Bombardier Lube (not WD-40).

    Bearing Housing (grease/inspect) [6mon/100hours] and [12mon/200hours]
**FROM HONDA: In the interest of safety, Honda recommend this step be serviced only by an authorized Honda Dealer.
For the one item above, you should use Honda PWC - Exelite EP2 Part#
    08C10-PWC-020

And lube this...You will need to reach for it on your F-12X...you can spray in that direction, then rub it in with your hands. The turbo and this thing below are the two most important things to lube. I do it after every ride.

Spray that thing in red (Wastegate Link) and the thing to the left. That is the Turbo. The throttle body is a cable on top of your motor. It is silver and unscrews. I spray inside of it...and I spray the outside of it. It unscrews by hand. Here is a step by step pic I tore out of the book for you.

    Re: turbo lubrication

Remember, contaminated oil or dirty oil can ruin the turbo, the oil feed line has a very fine screen that filters the oil if you get rust or contaminants in your oil it will block the screen and starve the turbo of oil. I drain the oil in my ski tilted the nose of the trailer all the way down and pulled that line off being careful not to lose the crush washers and the screen was partially plugged. Some of the experts suggest doing this.

Thanks! I am enjoying the ski at Gulf Shores Alabama this week. When I get her home she's going to get the full service and winterizing treatment.
