Real tuning specs Factory Wet Pipe -750

    Factory Pipe Specs:

Please Post your tuning specs (jet sizes, springs, needles, pop off etc)
I have realized that the specs included in the instructions are a good starting point but no exact as all motors are not created equal.

Post your engine mods with what you have found to be your best tunning specs.

Also location , as that plays a role as well.

Re: Real tuning specs Factory Wet Pipe -750

Well I'm certainly not perfect but here is my current setup. I ride in Macon, GA which is roughly 350-400ft above sea level.

I am running stock spring and needle.
Low jet - 75 at 2 and 1/2 turns out (I plan to get the 80 and 85 jet soon because 2.5 turns is a bit too much)
High jet - 155 at 1 and 1/8 turns out (Never had any problems on the top end but I also don't think I've reached top speed either and certainly don't stay at those speeds for more than a few seconds)

My ski hits incredibly hard at the bottom and is smooth all the way through the rpms. However, if I idle for more than 10-15 seconds without touching the gas and then nail it, the ski will either bog down or die. No biggy though, I just tap the gas a couple times and it's good for the rest of the ride.

Lean! go 80 on the lo I think the 85 will be fat

at 80 you should end up about 3/4 - 1 turn out, hopefully less than 1 turn

PS...the rule book will be in my 550 pump

You know, the guy that owned the ski before me had that exact same jetting and number of turns but it never ran right on the top end so I rebuilt the carb and could never make that jetting work again.

Wish I could play with the screws in my pipe. I actually broke the allen wrench off in the screw...lol. I thought it turning... Haven't gotten around to getting the screw repair kit.

Thanks for the advise JonnyX2. I will go ahead and order the 80 jet and see where it brings me.
