Superjet Range - how far can I go?

I have a 1990 Superjet, it's a 650, completely stock, runs great. I am thinking about doing a 20 mile trip this weekend (dropping the boat off and riding the ski back to the dock) and was wondering how far a tank of gas would take me. Water should be pretty smooth and I'm sure I'll just cruise around 20-30mph.... I would think I could easily get that far on one tank... just wondering if anyone knows what's realistic.

I would not trust my ski to do it but...........

you should be able to go AT LEAST 1 hour out and 1 hour back. Even on my modded 701.

Is it warm enough to do this in St. Louis? You said you were going to drop the boat off. I hope you are not going to try this alone. Even with a wetsuit with water in the 40s it's still pretty easy to get hypothermia. Especially with a standup I'd be really cautious. Just my opinion.

I appreciate the concern... short answer is yes, it's plenty warm in stl! The boat is on Lake of the Ozarks, I keep it at the 21mm and need to drop it off this weekend to have the bottom painted at a marina at the 1mm, figured I'd just ride the standup back.

I am crazy and stupid enough to do this, however I do have a drysuit, neoprene booties, gloves, and hoodie... I used to wakeboard year round here in stl...

couple of fun pictures... my ski transport and a wakeboarding picture I like to call "snowboarding"

I use to run two different 20 mile round trips regularly with my 650SJ w/o any problems.

I wouldn't worry about it either....... The only stand up I'd be worried about on a 20 mile trip is an SXR 800........

I'll give you the props on the drysuit. I've been itching for one of thoses so I can get out earlier. I'd love to be able to wakeboard in the winter hear.. Only problem is the ice hurts when you fall. LOL Good luck and make sure someone knows your route and when to expect you.

I screwed up with adding pics and I can't figure out how to edit so here is the second picture I was talking about.
